Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Park

Kibale National Park covers 766 sq.kms and runs contiguous with the northern end of Queen Elizabeth National Park, but it is much wetter with a unique moist forest habitat and an extremely high diversity of animals and plants. seeing a variety of monkeys and other animal species where as an excursion to Bigodi wetland avails an opportunity of seeing some unusual birds and primates living around the swamp.
From Kibale we continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game viewing, chimp tracking and a launch trip on the Kazinga channel.
DAY 1. Meet and great at hotel, then set off for Fort Portal, which nestles in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains dubbed the mountains of the moon via Mubende town. Afternoon relax at lodge or explore surroundings in neighborhood. Overnight: Ndali Logde/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.
DAY 2. Today brace yourself for a guided nature walk in Kibale Forest for a full day search of chimps and other primates. Bird life is also in abundance here. The guide will provide full information and make your walk quite informative. Overnight: Ndali Lodge/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.
DAY 3. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the Rwenzori Mountain Range for most of the Journey arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward. Here you will come to see schools of hippos at a very close range and a variety of birds. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.
DAY 4. Enjoy two game drives today. The park environs offer a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife, the grassy planes, tropical rain forest, lakes and volcanic craters are a home to leopards, buffalos, elephants, Uganda kob and many more. The two game drives and the boat trip are a memorable and rewarding experience. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.
DAY 5. Drive back to Kampala via Ishaka tea plantation, papyrus swamps, acacia woodlands and the Ankole long horned cattle arriving late afternoon. Lunch enroute.
